IBERDROLA, in collaboration with the I.C.A.I. Association/College of Engineers, edited and coordinated the third edition of Law Journals for Engineers.

The work consists of five new volumes -9 to 13- dealing with five key themes: institutional shareholders, investors and external agencies; small shareholders; bankruptcy proceedings; the new reform of the Penal Code, and financial liability and insurance. Each were analysed by professionals from the university world or prestigious law firms.

The work was presented this afternoon in the Great Hall of the Universidad Pontificia Comillas, in Madrid, by the Chairman of IBERDROLA, Ignacio Galán; the General Secretary and Secretary of the Board of Directors, Julián Martínez-Simancas; the President of I.C.A.I. Association/College of Engineers, Miguel Ángel Agúndez, and the Vice-rector of Academic studies and Professor of the Universidad Pontificia Comillas, Antonio Obregón.

The presentation was also attended by the coordinators of each of the aforementioned Journals: the Attorney General, Eduardo Torres-Dulce; Rafael Mateu de Ros; Javier Cremades; Rafael Sebastián, and Irene Agúndez.

During the event, Ignacio Galán, Chairman of IBERDROLA, has highlighted that the Company's commitment with this informative editorial project lies "on the Group’s idea of encouraging people to develop skills and refresh their knowledge on  continuous basis”. "I am convinced that only with this principle, linked with the desire to excel, we as professionals can continue to offer efficient solutions to a society that is increasingly demanding and constantly changing, he added.

The new tomes, which complete the first eight volumes of Law Journals for Engineers edited in 2011 and 2010 and the Law Handbook for Engineers published in 2008, are available in digital format, although they can also be obtained in any legal bookshop.

The works were developed with the intention of making it easier for engineers to understand the Law, acting as a reference on professional relations and on the associated rights and responsibilities.  Their popularity has led to a more general demand, attracting the interest of other groups.

IBERDROLA and the Universidad Pontificia Comillas–ICAI–ICADE continue working to reveal the world of Law to and for engineers. As such, the Company has set up the email address manualingeniero@iberdrola.es with the aim of collecting the opinions of all interested parties on the Law Handbook for Engineers and the Law Journals for Engineers to be able to improve possible future editions.
