Heinz Calls for Entries in Annual Ketchup Creativity Contest

PITTSBURGH--()--The annual Heinz Ketchup Creativity™ Contest is back, and Heinz is calling on student artists to once again pour on their creativity for a chance to win exciting rewards and recognition in 2012, including their artwork appearing on more than 20 million Heinz® Ketchup packets.

“Since 2006, the Heinz Ketchup Creativity Contest has generated more than 130,000 entries from thousands of schools nationwide,” said Andy Ludlow, associate brand manager for Heinz Ketchup. “We’re excited to offer the contest again this year and showcase the talent of 12 more student artists, using iconic Heinz Ketchup packets as the canvas.”

Teachers and parents can download the contest kit and lesson plans, packed with fun classroom activities, at www.KetchupCreativity.com. Entries can be submitted via mail today through March 31, 2012.

A panel of judges will then select the top 12 winning entries, one from each grade category K-1 through 12, and the winning students each will receive a $1,000 cash prize, and their schools will receive $1,000 and a voucher for $1,000 worth of Heinz Ketchup.* The winning artwork will appear on millions of Heinz Ketchup packets in Foodservice venues across the U.S. during the 2012 – 2013 school year. Winners will be announced in May 2012.
