Kyocera Corporation (President: Tetsuo Kuba) announced on December 27, 2011 that it would be acquiring all shares in Optrex Corporation. According to plan, as of February 1, 2012, all shares have been transferred and the company has become a wholly-owned subsidiary. An overview of the new subsidiary is provided below.
