API hires Karen Bulich Moreau as executive director, New York State Petroleum Council

Albany, NY, January 17, 2012—API today announced Karen Bulich Moreau has joined the New York State Petroleum Council (NYSPC), a division of API, as executive director.
"Moreau is an established champion for the economic development of the state of New York and the Marcellus area," said API Senior Director of State Government Relations Rolf Hanson. "Her background and experience provide a strong voice during a critical time for job creation in New York and across the country."
Moreau will serve as the organization's main spokesperson and will also be responsible for advocacy issues. She joins the NYSPC after serving as president and founder of the Foundation for Land and Liberty, Inc., a non-profit public interest legal foundation.
Moreau is a graduate of Siena College, received her Juris Doctorate from the Albany Law School of Union University and has 25 years experience in municipal, land use and zoning law, real property tax assessment, real estate development, and the general practice of law.
The New York State Petroleum Council represents all sectors of New York's oil and natural gas industry, from development in the Marcellus Shale to oil refining and marketing of transportation fuels.
