The 2012 Jerusalem Marathon, the second ever international marathon to be held in the city, will take place on March 16, 2012. The 2012 Jerusalem Marathon's course boasts stunning scenery and views. Runners may participate in the full marathon (42 kilometers), half marathon (21 kilometers), or 10K (10 kilometer race).
ITC is offering three different travel packages for marathon participants: Registration fees will be complimentary for Runners who will purchase one of the following packages: 6 day/4 night package, a 10 day/8 night package, and a package designed for Jewish runners who observe Shabbat. Travel package rates vary depending on whether participants choose to stay in three star, four star, or five star hotels. The tours will take participants to sites of Jewish, Christian, and general interest, such as the following:
* Israel Museum, which is home to the Dead Sea Scrolls;
* King David's Tomb on Mount Zion;
* Knesset, Israel's parliament;
* Yad Vashem, the Holocaust memorial;
* Dead Sea, the lowest place on earth;
* Nazareth, where Jesus was raised;
* Capernaum, where Jesus began his ministry;
* Masada, the last stronghold of the Jewish Zealots against the Romans;
* Haifa, one of the largest cities in Israel;
* Tel Aviv, Israel's center of business and entertainment.
