("BCP") is pleased to announce the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (“MOU”) with the Democratic Republic of Congo ("DRC") on Friday, October 20, 2023 at the Canadian Securities Exchange. The landmark agreement was formally represented by the Minister of Industry, Mr. Julien Paluku Kahongya, Mrs. Sebise Jolie Karungi and Mr. Herve Claude Batukonke on behalf of the DRC.

Frank Bellotti, the Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of BCP, led the initiative alongside a dedicated task force, including Jeff Leal, Lisa Wong, Dr. William Chai and distinguished team partners: David Pascoe, Stanley Robinson, Jean-Claude Mubenga-Nkongolo, Serge Tshivuadi Kalala, Tochi Lewis-Asonye and Ash Sandu.

With this alliance, BCP has the distinct honor of being the first Canadian strategy partner with the DRC. Under the terms of the MOU, BCP will provide financial advisory services to the DRC, particularly in capital markets. Their primary focus will be on reviewing and managing significant assets within the country, which include lithium, copper cobalt, iron ore, gold, hydroelectric and other projects from the six components included in the Industrialization Master Plan. Moreover, BCP is tasked with aiding the DRC in providing capital management to a dedicated entity and structuring it to achieve a potential listing on a recognized Canadian stock exchange.
