Vestas receives 101 MW order in Michigan, USA

With reference to Vestas Wind Systems A/S’ company announcement No. 42/2011 of 18 October 2011, Vestas has received a 101 MW order for 56 V100-1.8 MW turbines from Consumers Energy, for the utility’s Lake Winds Energy Park in Mason County, Michigan, USA. 

Delivery is scheduled for the first half of 2012, and commissioning is expected in the second half of 2012.

The Lake Winds Energy Park can provide enough electricity to power 30,000 Michigan homes.

This is the second commercial-scale wind power plant in Michigan to use Vestas turbines. The first, Harvest Wind, was built in 2007 and includes 32 V82-1.65 MW turbines.
