IBERDROLA TO HOLD ITS II INTERNATIONAL VOLUNTEER DAY TOMORROW, WITH THE PARTICIPATION OF 500 EMPLOYEES
- Coinciding with Corporate Solidarity Day, which the company is sponsoring for the fifth year in a row
- This edition will include the participation of the company's staff in Brazil and Mexico, as well as those in Spain, the U.K. and the U.S.
- The Group offers its team a choice of 30 charity initiatives, such as collaboration with food banks or helping to rebuild the areas affected by recent flooding in New York
As part of its commitment to enhancing the quality of life of the population in the regions in which it operates, IBERDROLA will be holding its II International Volunteer Day tomorrow. Some 500 of the Group's employees will be taking part in this edition, including volunteers from Brazil and Mexico, who will be joining in for the first time.
This II International Volunteer Day is also open to IBERDROLA professionals in Spain, the U.K. and the U.S., who will be able to choose from 30 charity initiatives organised by the Group.
Also coinciding with Corporate Solidarity Day, which IBERDROLA is sponsoring for the fifth year in a row, the company will be holding its Volunteer Day in the Basque Country. Employees in this region will be able to take part in forest activities at Urdaibai Biosphere Reserve.
IBERDROLA will also be organising activities for its team in Madrid and Valencia, where the Group's employees will be able to help prepare orders at a food bank, accompany children at risk of social exclusion to the theatre or visit the Bioparc zoo in Valencia in the company of people with mental disabilities.
The Group's employees in the United States will be able to choose from various proposals prepared by the company, such as for example, the possibility of helping in the reconstruction effort in areas affected by the recent flooding in New York or collecting food on behalf of the subsidiaries NYSEG, RG&E and CMP in 38 different localities where the company operates.
In the United Kingdom, IBERDROLA is offering its team ten activities, which will be held in Scotland, Wales and England. The company's employees can choose between doing gardening work with disabled people, organising donations for homeless people or helping to decorate centres for families affected by unemployment.
In Brazil, professionals employed by the Group will be able to take children from the Raio de Luz orphanage to the Game Station amusement arcade or take part in the Children's Day celebrations at the Ayrton Senna orphanage.
