Introducing our new Board Director – Peter Walton
We are thrilled to inform you that the Board of East Timor Hearts Fund has appointed Peter Walton as a Board Director in August 2022.
Peter was inspired to join our Board after spending most of his career in for-purpose organisations. He has worked in over 50 countries in 28 years with organisations such as Red Cross, Save the Children and ChildFund, and he is the current CEO of CARE Australia. Peter is especially passionate about focusing organisations on shifting the pendulum towards locally led humanitarian and development outcomes.
We are very fortunate to have someone of Peter’s calibre join our organisation. His knowledge and skills will be invaluable as we continue to strengthen our partnerships with local communities to increase our impact against heart disease.
