Valencia is a Business Development Associate at the Institute for the Study of War (ISW). She graduated from Virginia Tech with a B.A. in Political Science and History and studied for her M.A. in History with a Public History Certification. Prior to coming to ISW, she was the Development Associate for Virginia Tech’s Innovation Campus. She has previously been a curatorial intern at the Smithsonian’s National Museum of African American History and Culture and the Christiansburg Institute.
