/EINPresswire.com/ The Israeli Company, Millennium Electric T.O.U, which is dealing for many years in developing, designing, manufacturing and installation of PV solar systems in Israel and worldwide, with about 30 megawatts installed up until today, has developed a solar (PV) and thermal system using a Multi Solar Collector, which contains PV cells that are cooled by water and air. The Multi Solar Collector enables power generation of up to 30% more than a normal PV collector, and produces thermal energy (hot water and hot air) as well. These systems work at several sites in Israel and abroad for many years.
Millennium Electric has developed an innovative system that is even more unique, which uses the thermal energy generated as a result of cooling of the PV cells in the Multi Solar Collectors, for purpose of electricity generation using an integrated circuit (Co-Generation) with a steam turbine. The system has a very high efficiency and the costs of its electricity production are very competitive, even in comparison of conventional electricity production methods, up to 35 percent (15 percent for electricity and 20 percent of photovoltaic electricity steam).

Millennium Electric conducted an experiment on 14 June 2011 in Millennium's test site in Kfar Saba and was first able to run an Infinity low pressure, low temperature turbine working in the co-generation circuit using Millennium's Multi Solar panels. The experiment was conducted in collaboration with one of the world's largest electronics and energy companies.
Millennium Electric has another test site in Herzliya, in which a performance experiment is carried out for the MSS collectors, with the investment of the same large electronics and energy company that is both a panel manufacturer and energy company, with the aim to get a production license.
