Detroit Rap Kingpin Ace Teams with Murdercap Records
Eastside Hip Hop Star Drops Single
/EINPresswire.com/ Miami, Florida--June 20, 2011--Detroit rapper Ace (Will McCurry) has signed a major deal to collaborate with Murdercap Records on several projects as he prepares to drop his much anticipated solo album led by the hott club anthem "First Place." Ace represents Motown well with his killer flow and meaningful lyrics. The 21 year old rap phenom is a throw back to the golden era of Hip Hop when Mic MC's like Tupac Shakur, the NWA, Biggie, and Eric B and Rakim dominated the streets and the airwaves.
Ace's number one goal is to go all the way to the top. "The difference between me and all the other rappers out there from Detroit or anywhere else is that I actually got talent," says Ace. "I am gangsta, I am club, I am street, and don't use one curse word." Reviews of the tracks have been overwhelming in a big thumbs up from the 'hood. "The street respect Ace, because he is just like them, and is working his way up the right way, not some fake way," says his manager Darnell Love.
"What I like about Ace is that he has the work ethic, concentrates on his craft, and you listen to his tracks and you say that is gangsta, then you realize he didn't use one word of profanity! That is a real, true artist that can pull that off," says Murdercap Records CEO Jerome Almon. Ace is teaming up with Murdercap's The Virus on several tracks including "Chinn Chekk" which pays homage to the Miami Heat. "We like the Heat and the villian image they got, they are like the Sith Lords of the NBA--Darth Bron, Darth Wade, and Darth Bosh," says Almon. "We are dedicating "First Place" and "Chinn Chekk" to the Heat winning the championship next season and the back-to-back after that."

Ace comes from the hardest 'hood in America's most dangerous city, Detroit, the murder capital of the Western world. His tracks reflect growing up and running the streets, streets that are littered with the minefields of gun violence, prison, and haters. The east side of Detroit is feared amongst the rest of the Motor City as a no man's land. "The Eastside is Afghanistan, Baghdad on its worst day--it is messed up," says Almon. Ace took all of the negatives from the his surroundings and turned them into a musical work of art. He doesn't hold back as he rolls through track after track with an unrelenting and unapologetic audio assault. The CD will change how Detroit rappers are viewed world wide. "Finally you are starting to hear rappers that are actually from Detroit, instead of guys who never lived in Detroit a day claiming to represent. "I am internationally known, nationally recognized, and locally accepted," says Ace. Look for the complete CD to drop in late August, with four singles being available on ITUNES, Rhapsody, and everywhere else now. Those tracks can be heard at:
