He adds the industry's leading recognition of expertise as a certified installer of solar electric systems (aka photovoltaic or PV systems) to his LEED Accredited Professional designation, which recognizes his knowledge and expertise as a green building professional.
Hencken demonstrated his expertise as a solar PV installer to earn his NABCEP certification by passing an extensive examination, which covers the many aspects of PV installation. He showed his comprehensive knowledge in system design, system commissioning, the National Electrical Code, job and electrical safety, troubleshooting, and roofing and construction techniques. The NABCEP certified Hencken in March 2011 with certification #032611-137.
