Lawsuit Filed Againt Top Cop Special Agent

William Telish and the California Department of Justice allege outrageous conduct against former employee and the state.

/EINPresswire.com/ San Francisco, CA--May 27, 2011--Linda Drylie, a former employee of the California Department of Justice, (a joint employer) has filed legal suit recently against the department, and Top Cop, Special Agent in Charge (SAC) William Telish for several actions of alleged unlawful conduct, including assault, battery, and intentional infliction of emotional distress.

The lawsuit, filed in the California Court of Los Angeles, Case No. BC 447404, alleges that, while employed at the department, Drylie was subjected to extreme and outrageous conduct at the hands of Telish, who at the time was the Director of L.A. Impact, a large multi-jurisdictional task force. This conduct included actions by Telish to exert his authority in the workplace over Drylie to satisfy his "sexual, sadistic, tortuous, and narcissistic needs." The complaint alleges that the state negligently supervised the Top Cop and never terminated his employment for previous misconduct.

The complaint alleges examples of Telish's actions, which include forcing Drylie to lie to state officials who were conducting an internal investigation into Telish regarding possible unlawful actions by Telish in a separate sexual harassment lawsuit involving another former employee. Telish allegedly intimidated Drylie in this matter by making outrageous statements where he told Drylie that he "was the guy in charge, don't ever forget that," that he "is the law," and that his "word is law." The lawsuit claims that Telish also spoke disparagingly of fellow officers and investigators of the California Department of Justice as "a fucking negro…negroid…." and called Italians "dirty whiteys." The complaint alleges that the state used Drylie to tape record the Top Cop to obtain these admissions.

Ironically, Drylie was placed on paid administrative leave by her employer, the City of Placentia Police Department, after she was encouraged by them to blow the whistle on the Top Cop.

The lawsuit is seeking unspecified damages caused to Drylie by the unlawful actions of Telish and the California Department of Justice.
