Remaining USA Poker Sites Revealed by MyPokerBasics.com

MyPokerBasics releases new information concerning the online poker shutdown plus recommends some US-friendly poker sites for gamblers.

As the foreign owners of Full Tilt Poker and the other seized poker websites deliberate over the soundest strategy to try and reclaim their online gaming supremacy from the US government, several other poker powerhouses seem to be stepping up to the plate by making statements of their own regarding the alleged money laundering and other federal charges. While there are certainly always two sides to every story, it appears that several other poker websites are already convinced of Full Tilt's guilt in this matter.

Kevin Smith from MyPokerBasics.com, a premiere advocacy and information website for gambler rights, had this to say regarding the poker shutdown allegations-

"Any US player that has frequented the online poker world for some time now knows exactly what these charges are about. It does not take a genius to realize that if there are a dozen or more poker websites out there and only three or four of them accept bank payments from US customers, there's something fishy going on. This is really unfortunate on so many levels...especially for the players that had their poker accounts disappear overnight."

Millions of angry, frustrated poker players across the United States have been left to wonder what exactly their options are when it comes to online gambling in the future. While Full Tilt Poker and PokerStars have already stated that all player accounts are perfectly safe, it is of little consolation when their customers no longer have access to their money on those websites. In fact, many experts are speculating that these website seizures will be permanent because of the clear violation of the Unlawful Internet Gaming Enforcement Act, which leaves US gamblers very little hope of ever seeing any type of restitution.

"The chances of getting a refund from Full Tilt or one of these other shut down poker rooms is not very good," Smith said in an interview Tuesday. "Unless a foreign authority steps in and challenges the legitimacy of these poker website seizures, they will not be up and running any time soon...or possibly ever. Can you think of any entity that will go to bat for places like Full Tilt or Absolute Poker against the US government? We certainly can't."

Since the likelihood of these poker websites returning to cyberspace appears slimmer by the day, MyPokerBasics has located several safe alternatives to Full Tilt that comply with all US laws and standards. Sportsbook Poker appears to be an especially promising destination since they have been established as a worldwide poker leader since the early 1990's.

"Sportsbook Poker is probably the best thing going for online gamblers right now because they're a great company that really takes care of their clients" Smith stated when asked about online poker alternatives. "The table action is great, there are thousands of players there 24/7, and they follow all the laws laid out in the UIGEA down to the letter."

Smith went on to say that there are also several other online poker destinations that give players a high quality experience without putting them at risk with the US government. Players Only may be one of the more popular names that online players associate with fast paced online tournaments with WSOP seats up for grabs; reports indicate that their new player enrolments are up nearly 300% for the month of April alone. Lock Poker is another popular destination for US players seeking solid table stakes or tournament play as well.

"This whole fiasco with these online poker rooms being shut down is ridiculous in our opinion," said Kevin Smith. "If they are found guilty of the charges that the US Department of Justice brought against them, then it's got to rank up there with the all-time worst business decisions ever. I bet the owners of Sportsbook Poker, the guys who followed US laws the whole time, haven't stopped laughing since this whole shutdown started."
