The Latest Royal Wedding Odds From Unibet

With the Royal Wedding now less than a fortnight away, Unibet provide the latest betting updates and odds for the big day.

Just like Marmite, the upcoming nuptials between Wills and Kate are dividing opinion across the United Kingdom.

On one end of the scale, there is the organising of street parties, pinning up the bunting and purchasing specially designed disposable plates and cutlery with the Union Jack emblazed across them.

Others are just happy to have an extra holiday day and will happily stay in bed sleeping off that night at the casino until the ceremony is over, avoiding all television coverage and looking forward for the country to return to normality.

Love it or hate it there is no escaping the event in the British press with wall to wall media coverage and speculation about what is planned for the special day and indeed what may go wrong.

Unibet is embracing the moment and have priced up a number of special bets for the big day, so whether you will be standing tall singing the national anthem or will watch simply to appease a partner, Unibet's specials will add something extra to the big day.

Unibet have odds of 1.80 that there will be apathy, with less than 20 million people watching the ceremony and odds of 4.00 that there will be national pride and over 25 million people tuning in to the BBCs coverage.

Despite some spoof videos online of the royal couple walking down the aisle to East 17s 'House of Love' it seems much more appropriate that Kate will be serenaded by Wagner's 'Bridal Chorus' at odds of 2.85 or Clarke's 'The Prince of Denmark's March' at odds of 3.00. Odds of 250.00 on 'Wannabe' by the Spice Girls may be a long shot but would certainly liven up proceedings.

An always popular bet is that of what colour the Queen will wear. It's all about the Queen's hat (no not her crown.) with odds of 3.00 that she will wear the springtime colour of yellow, 5.00 the girly colour of pink, 10.00 the innocence of white and 50.00 on the goth look of black.

No wedding would be complete without tears and hankies and with that in mind Unibet have odds on the tears to flow. With Kate walking down the aisle Prince Harry is 15.00 to cry, William is 3.00 to cry whilst the Queen is 18.00 to shed a tear.

After the big day is over the next big question will be about the continuity of the royal bloodline and with that in mind Unibet have odds on when Kate and Will's first child will be born with 2012 the favourite at 1.50 and 2013 at odds of 3.00. If you think Kate is secretly already pregnant then get on the odds of 25.00 for a baby to arrive in 2011! In that case it may also be worth a bet on the gender of the child with a boy favourite at 1.80 and girl at 2.00... so much for these things meaning to be fifty-fifty.

The Royal Wedding between Prince William and Katherine Middleton takes place on Friday 29th April 2011 at Westminster Abbey - Check out the Unibet site now for all the odds on the big day.
