Queensland's Gold Coast Holiday Park Wraps up Major Remodel to Herald Upcoming Easter Relaunch
Helensvale, Queensland, Australia—___ March, 2011. As Easter nears, Gold Coast Holiday Park owners Theo and Norton Whitmont have big plans for their 32-acre park nestled cosily — and conveniently — amongst the Gold Coast's most popular theme parks.
Millions of dollars worth of renovations, currently underway, are part of the owners' plan to enhance the comfort, attractiveness and appeal of the park and resort facilities and create a more enjoyable family holiday experience for visitors. In addition to the costly refurbishment of cabins, roads and gardens and the massive new swimming pool going in by September, the Whitmonts have hired management team Tracie and Wayne Eaton, with a view to increasing customer satisfaction by offering sterling service.
Along with Gold Coast, the Whitmonts also own Kincumber Nautical Village (winner of the MHIA "Best Manufactured Home Estate" award two years running) and the soon-to-be-developed Avoca Beach Holiday Park and have owned and managed numerous other caravan parks over the years. Having been keen to develop the best caravan park Gold Coast has to offer, they are excited to be involved with Gold Coast Holiday Park.
The family's well-earned reputation for raising the bar in the industry is well known. Now they intend to focus on just that by making Gold Coast accommodation quality and service a priority for this wonderful holiday park. With over 20 years' experience in the Caravan Camping Industry, both Theo Whitmont (current president of Caravan & Camping Industry Association NSW [CCIA]) and Norton Whitmont (ex-CCIA president and honoured life member) have demonstrated their expertise, vision and integrity by repeatedly delivering on their promise of superior accommodation both in their other holiday parks and now with a focus on Gold Coast accommodation solutions.
The Whitmonts have previously owned Big4 Coffs Harbour Darlington Beach Holiday Park, Big 4 Sydney, Sydney Gateway Holiday park and Big 4 Umina Ocean Beach Holiday Park. All of these holiday Parks were sold by the Whitmonts to NRMA Holiday parks in 2007.
Among the Whitmonts' latest acquisitions, Gold Coast Holiday Park offers spacious grounds and a broad range of recreational facilities, caravan and camping sites, big rig sites and fully self-contained cabins and bungalows. The park's Resort Motel and Conference Centre features well-appointed rooms designed to cater for family, business and romantic weekend getaways.
In an effort to add still more to their holiday activity program — as they've already done to the park itself via their recent upgrades — the Whitmonts and Eatons have planned the following special Easter events for Gold Coast's family holiday visitors:
• Easter egg hunt
• Bonnet- and egg-making competition
• Barbecue
• Story time
• Movies
• Sunday pancake breakfasts
• Visit from the Easter Bunny
The Whitmonts aim to make holidays with kids even more fun by providing a home-like atmosphere, spacious play areas, dog-friendly accommodation and other kid-focused features and activities which make the park's lodgings more family-orientated than ever.
During Easter, the Whitmonts have made it even easier for potential visitors to discover the "new" Gold Coast Holiday Park by offering special introductory pricing on their new Family Villas, which they expect to be installed in time for the holiday.
In addition to providing a caravan park Gold Coast travelers can thoroughly enjoy, park staff are always happy to offer added services, such as arranging tickets for Gold Coast theme parks and attractions and helping visitors organise their holiday itineraries.
