Colorado State University Installs 5.3 MW Solar
Colorado State University (CSU), located in Fort Collins, Colorado, has installed a 5.3 megawatt (MW) solar plant that is now producing electricity. The plant is owned and operated by Fotowatio Renewable Ventures and Xcel Energy is buying the renewable energy certificates. CSU says the purchase of the RECs helped offset construction costs. CSU will purchase the power from the plant under a fixed rate for the next 20 years.
