Commerce Church Unites Others Against Violence Rise

One Event Unites Many During Rise in Gun Violence at Los Angeles Youth Conference and Concert.

New Life Family Church, a branch of one of the largest groups of churches named Praise Chapel found in many parts of the world, is actively taking a step forward to promote peace, unity and leadership in their community of Commerce.

In these times of increased gun and gang violence taking place in and around their schools, NLFC has unleashed their secret weapon, Redemption Youth Ministry, upon the streets and in the schools. In light of the current increase in violence with guns and gangs, Redemption Youth Ministry is gathering all Praise Chapel youth groups and surrounding communities at their home for a Los Angeles' Youth Conference and Concert, to hear a message on becoming leaders that help others to work together.

Redemption Youth Ministry is hosting Los Angeles' Youth Conference and Concert on Saturday, January 29th, 2011 at their home on 5416 Jillson St. in the city of Commerce. Surrounding communities and Praise Chapel Churches including Gardena, Hawaiian Gardens, East Los Angeles, Bell Gardens and several others are marked to attend. Guest speakers and performances by: international group The S.O.G. Crew from Anaheim, CA; Youth Pastor Armando from Praise Chapel Huntington Heights, G-Styles and local group The Remnant. The event is free to the public and all local media is welcome.

Redemption Youth Ministry 'The Voice of a Last Generation' overseen by Senior Pastors Henry & Barbara Salazar, is run by Youth Pastor Leader Melissa Romero and functionality is executed by young leaders who are being raised up to one day be a Youth Pastor. Their purpose to gather more like-minded youth who wish to see change in their schools and communities against the rise in violence around them; use the basis of their faith to find them, often walking the streets such as Washington Blvd to rally up participants. Redemption Youth Ministry is partnering with international hip hop/Latin group The S.O.G. Crew for their example of encouraging youth towards unity through 'Cause' music and empowerment through the gospel. The S.O.G. Crew is a music ministry that crosses all genres of music, generations, industries, and cultures.
