Navigation expert Jeppesen today announced that Payne’s Marine Group, a leading marine electronics distributor based in Victoria, British Columbia, has been named 2010 North American Distributor of the Year.  This is the fourth consecutive year that Payne’s has been honored as Jeppesen’s top distributor of C-MAP by Jeppesen electronic charts and accessories for all of North America.  In addition to its Victoria headquarters, Payne’s has offices located in Vancouver, Burnaby and Burlington, Ontario.

Jeppesen’s Canadian regional sales manager Glenn Butt presented this award to Payne’s Marine Group president Grant Kuebler at the 2011 Toronto International Boat Show.

“The Payne’s team has been able to adjust to the lagging economy and has been able to see growth in several key product lines — including C-MAP by Jeppesen cartography and Standard Horizon navigation and communications electronics,” said Butt.  “Payne’s continues to work closely with marine dealers to offer incentives and pricing that help maintain sales.  This strong working relationship with dealers has allowed Payne’s to remain the number one C-MAP by Jeppesen distributor for the fourth year in a row.  In addition, Payne’s excellent booking show in November makes 2011 look very promising and has us excited about the coming year,” Butt added.
