CHICAGO – ALA JobLIST launched its free bi-weekly e-newsletter ALA JobLIST Direct at the American Library Association (ALA) Midwinter Meeting in San Diego this week.

 

The newsletter will keep you up to date on what’s going on with job-seeking and hiring in the profession—including information on new publications, professional development offerings and opportunities to connect and network.

 

The newsletter includes selected articles highlighting job search strategies and career development resources relevant to all library, information science and technology professionals. It will also cover ALA and other news relevant to both job seekers and employers, including timely updates about ALA JobLIST Placement Centers at conferences. ALA JobLIST Direct joins ALA’s “Direct” family of newsletters, which also includes AL Direct and AL Student Direct.

HRDR coordinates ALA’s placement services through the ALA JobLIST Placement Center, which provides assistance with job placement in conjunction with the ALA Midwinter and Annual Conferences, as well as selected divisional national conferences.
