Mayor Castro’s statement on President Obama’s Bipartisan Tax Cuts Package
SAN ANTONIO – Mayor Castro announced his support of President Obama’s tax package to keep the economy moving in a positive direction and provide immediate assistance to unemployed Americans.
“Those of us who work on the ground in local communities know how vitally important it is to get things done regardless of politics,” Mayor Castro said. “I applaud President Obama for getting us past the gridlock to focus on economic recovery.”
“This bipartisan package of tax cuts protects middle class Americans by holding taxes steady and providing vital assistance to the unemployed in cities across America, including San Antonio.”
