Europe and Eurasia: Remarks With Norwegian Foreign Minister Jonas Gahr Stoere Before Their Meeting

Remarks
Hillary Rodham Clinton
Secretary of State
Treaty Room
Washington, DC
December 7, 2010

SECRETARY CLINTON: Good afternoon. I am always pleased to see the Norwegian foreign minister. Minister Stoere and I have spent many hours together in many different settings during my time as Secretary of State, working on a very comprehensive agenda of important matters that are not only of bilateral concern, but of global interest as well. So we now have another opportunity to go over the many issues that we consult on on a regular basis, and I’m delighted you’re here.

FOREIGN MINISTER STOERE: Thank you, Secretary, for me too. We have been meeting frequently – last week in Astana and then there was NATO summit. But coming here to compare notes in a bilateral setting, it’s always a great pleasure to be in Washington and to be received by you. So I look forward to it.

SECRETARY CLINTON: Thank you.

FOREIGN MINISTER STOERE: Thank you so much.

SECRETARY CLINTON: Thank you so much. Thank you all very much.
