Candidates Get Down and Dirty in New York Gubernatorial Debate

Oct 19, 2010 /EIN Presswire/ - Democratic Candidate Andrew Cuomo, the current front-runner in the New York State Governor's race, hearkened back to the politics of the past for guidance on how to lead NY in the future. The son of the famous former governor of New York, Mario Cuomo, spoke with confidence at the Hofstra University debate which included members of seven different parties.

Carl Paladino, Republican tea-party backed candidate, criticized Cuomo for relying on the politics of the past when the state is in need of a "political overhaul." More interestingly, Anti-Prohibition Party candidate Kristen Davis, the madame responsible for the downfall of former Governor Eliot Spitzer, called the NY state government a "brothel" in need of a madame to reform all the "political whores" in Albany.
