Second novel in trilogy continues descent into underground world of organized crime

Theo and his mother, Lucia, leave Chicago and return to Sicily after Theo's father dies at the hands of a notorious organized crime family. While in Sicily and under the watchful eye of a German commandant, Theo discovers a hidden and untapped talent for firing weapons with uncanny accuracy. After Theo's mother is sexually assaulted and murdered, Theo's newfound marksmanship is put to the test as he seeks revenge for his mother's death.
