New tween novel promotes girl power in tale of Manhattan girl transplanted to rural town
LEBANON, N.J. (MMD Newswire) September 1, 2010 -- Saving Hannah: Or How to Rewrite History, A GirlMogul Adventure by Andrea Stein is a tween novel with four smart, savvy characters who would rather rule their town than win a beauty contest or choose new lipgloss.
Stein's Saving Hannah is part of a new series of girl empowerment. Rose is the new girl in the sleepy town of Weston. Along with science nerd Poppy, computer whiz and bad girl Daisy, and overachiever Lily, the four take part in a community leadership contest. The contest's prize is a trip to New York, where Rose is from. As the girls begin to work together, they soon create GirlMogul, a club that emphasizes smarts and strength. When Rose finds a diary that uncovers some shady town secrets, she and the other girls realize that they could rewrite history. But can they get the truth out in the open or are they at the mercy of the mysterious Dr. Smith, the mastermind of the contest who has an agenda of her own?
Stein, the founder of GirlMogul.com, an online community that focuses on tween girls, has crafted a novel about leadership, truthtelling and friendship. Meant to celebrate the bonds between young girls and to promote ingenuity and strength, Saving Hannah aims to give girls a new kind of heroine to emulate, one that is a future leader, rather than a future diva.
Saving Hannah is available for sale online at Amazon.com and other channels.
