New collection of short stories examines personal conflict, problem solving
ELK GROVE, Calif. (MMD Newswire) September 13, 2010 -- Four to Go: Second Chances and Other Stories by Joseph Sheehan is a collection of short stories exploring personal relationships, family, and life's trials and triumphs.
Sheehan's stories range in genre from mystery to historical fiction to family drama. Four to Go draws inspiration from the author's varied experiences as an Army serviceman in World War II, journalist, husband and father. Diverse plots aim to color Four to Go with unique characters and conflicts. For example, the mysteries involve an injured champion gymnast and a series of art thefts; one story features a retired man hospitalized after a bike accident as he recalls childhood trauma while another narrative centers around four sisters who care for their dying father shortly after World War II.
Sheehan intends for Four to Go to center around themes of reconciliation and problem solving. The stories present families and characters under extreme duress and take readers through the process of coming together and overcoming emotional obstacles.
Four to Go is available online at Amazon.com and other channels.
