(NASDAQ: CSIQ) said it plans to build a new solar module manufacturing facility in Guelph Ontario, Canada, and that the plant will be ready to begin production early next year. The facility is being developed by Canadian Solar Solutions Inc., a wholly owned subsidiary of Canadian Solar.

According to Canadian Solar, the new facility will be its first feed-in-tariff domestic content compliant solar manufacturing facility in Ontario, and will be capable of manufacturing 200 megawatts of solar modules a year while employing around 500 people in the process.
