World's Top Zen Master Fills London's Hammersmith Apollo
World renowned Zen Master, Thich Nhat Hanh, will deliver rare public talk to thousands at London's Hammersmith Apollo, tomorrow, Wednesday 11 August 2010
PRESS DISPENSARY - Tuesday, Aug 10, 2010 - The world's most renowned Zen Master, Thich Nhat Hanh, is in London this week.
The Zen Master, whose audiences have included the US Congress and Indian Parliament, will deliver a rare public talk to thousands at the Hammersmith Apollo, tomorrow, Wednesday 11 August.
Today's press coverage:
The Independent: "Monk on a Mission: Zen and the Art of Saving the Planet"
The Times: "The Other Dalai Lama", Body & Soul p.8
In tomorrow's public talk, Global Ethics for our Future, Zen Master Thich Nhat Hanh will present a non-religious spiritual path, a way out of the suffering of our times: terrorism, fanaticism, intolerance, divorce, depression, stress, anxiety and despair.
With his signature light-heartedness and warmth, which have helped his books sell millions, Thich Nhat Hanh will propose "applied Buddhist" practices - simple and nourishing steps each of us can take to bring freshness and peace to our daily lives.
"Audience members will leave the talk uplifted and confident, realising that it is possible to face our deepest suffering with courage, compassion and a smile." said Sister Natasha, a young British nun and disciple of Thich Nhat Hanh.
