gamescom 2010 Game-of-Show Applications Due July 30
All exhibitors eligible for second-annual award from convention
July 20, 2010 -- gamescom 2010, Europe's largest video games trade show, is accepting applications for game-of-show awards until July 30. All gamescom 2010 exhibitors are eligible to be considered for the second-annual award to recognize the top trends in hardware and software at the convention.
An independent jury will select the best entries in six different categories: best computer game, best console game, best online game, best mobile game, best hardware innovation and the top award "Best of gamescom." The convention takes place in Cologne, Germany, August 18-22.
The jury features experts from the German publishing and media sectors and includes Michael Trier (chief editor of IDG Entertainment AG), Petra Fröhlich (chief editor of Computec Media AG), Christian Bigge (chief editor of Computerbild Online Dienstleistungs-GmbH), Harald Hesse (chief editor of Entertainment Media Verlag GmbH & Co. KG), Oliver Hartmann (Brot und Spiele GmbH) and Bernhard Schneider (Müller Ltd. & Co. KG).
