Dynamic Small Business Intelligence - More Accessible, More Vital
The latest version of Dynamic AI - the business intelligence and management reporting tool from Asckey Data Services, is simpler and richer in features than ever, yet has a lower entry cost.
PRESS DISPENSARY - Tuesday, Jun 29, 2010 - A lower entry price, simplified report design and a new calendar-based format for reports characterise the latest release - version 6.4 - of the business intelligence tool, Dynamic AI (http://www.dynamic-ai.co.uk/ ), from applications developer Asckey Data Service.
Dynamic AI is a web-based management reporting service designed for small businesses, meaning that genuinely penetrating business intelligence is no longer the preserve of large organisations. Dynamic AI gives a business owner or manager speedy delivery of accurate, up-to-the-minute information about the state of their business, and the latest version's new, low entry price brings it to those with much smaller budgets.
The lower cost is made possible by a new type of server license: the 'Named User' licence (one author, three viewers) can more than halve the cost of entry for a multi-user business. Meanwhile, the free Personal Edition licence, the single PC Desktop licence and the standard Concurrent User server licence all continue to be available, as does the 'Runtime' licence provision which allows for Dynamic AI interactive Dashboards - with their full 'drill down' and 'drill up' data selection capabilities - to be embedded within third party applications at very low cost.
The design of the Dashboard and reports becomes ever more friendly for end users, with the addition of more point and click, drag and drop features. In particular, the task of initially creating information Dashboards is simplified to a mere 'choose and click'.
Calendar based reports are an important development in Dynamic AI v6.4. Reports can now be organised into monthly calendars and formatted into months, weeks and days, with the colour of each day reflecting the data values it contains. Many colour coded, date related formulae are available, using live data with full drill down to underlying details or to varying time periods. Anyone who needs to monitor daily workloads or other forms of resource usage over time will appreciate the new ease with which colour coded Calendar displays, monitoring real-time data, can be created and provided to supervisory staff.
Version 4.6 also offers a new range of calculation features which take Dynamic AI's data presentation capability closer to that of a desktop spreadsheet facility, including the ability to link together multiple Dynamic AI reports using data defined as 'Key figures' - and all with live, real-time data. This report linking, in turn, enables the creation of new, summarised, high level strategic management information from detailed day to day 'production' reports.
Marketing manager Chris Hibbert says: "We thought the previous version was pretty good, but the Dynamic AI development team continues to surprise us with versions which do a lot more but are simpler than ever to use. And the new Calendar reports and accompanying date functions are going to be invaluable for developing capacity planning in our Eclipse-fm® facilities management system."
Commercial director Bernard Hill adds: "In the current economic and business climate - especially after the recent budget - it's crucial for smaller organisations to react quickly and appropriately to changing situations. Dynamic AI provides exactly that capability without breaking the bank."
Dynamic AI is 100% web based, requiring no software on the client PC, and enabling true internet "anytime, anywhere" usage. A comprehensive security and role based permissions system ensures that users only get to see what they are allowed to see, and do what they are allowed to do.
Dynamic AI scales from a free Personal Use only version (http://www.dynamic-ai.co.uk/personal) through a commercial Single User licence to full scale Server licences and, with the Enterprise Edition, server farm management capabilities.
Asckey Data Services also welcomes OEM enquiries because it is easy to embed Dynamic AI's "Dashboard Reporting" in virtually any business application that could benefit from business intelligence.
With its origins in banking systems, and great ease of use for the non-technically minded, Dynamic AI is a comprehensive and easy to master business intelligence system ideally suited to SMEs.
