Tech Company News: Gonzalez Dominguez Named CEO Of Telvent
May 25, 2010 (FinancialWire) – Spanish IT firm Telvent GIT, S.A. (NASDAQ: TLVT), said that its board of directors has appointed Ignacio Gonzalez Dominguez as its new chief executive officer, succeeding Manuel Sanchez Ortega, who will resign as CEO effective June 1.
During this year, Sanchez Ortega will continue to serve as a director and non-executive chairman of Telvent's board.
Sanchez Ortega will join Abengoa, S.A. effective January 1, 2011 as its CEO.
Gonzalez Dominguez is the current EVP of Telvent Energy. He joined Telvent in 1990 as a project engineer participating in control systems projects. From 1995 to 1998, he worked as an engineer and project manager for the electrical sub-segment of Telvent's energy segment. In 1998, he was promoted to the position of international proposals department manager.
In 1999, Gonzalez Dominguez was named Telvent Mexico's general manager. In 2002, he was named general manager of Telvent Energia y Medio Ambiente S.A., and served in that capacity until his appointment as EVP of Telvent Energy in 2006. Gonzalez Dominguez has been based in Houston, Texas, since 2007 and will be moving to Telvent's U.S. headquarters in Rockville, Maryland.
