West Palm Beach, FL—A group of moms are leading a Facebook crusade against Pampers diapers, in which they claim their diapers have left their children with burns and blisters. The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) now says they are investigating the claims after the successful Facebook campaign got everyone’s attention, as reported by ABC13.

The Facebook group brought thousands of concerned parents together to tell their stories of burns and blisters on their children's sensitive bottoms. The diapers in question are Pampers Cruisers with the Dry Max technology. The new technology was designed for better absorbency, but it seems to be to harsh on many children’s sensitive skin, which is believe to be causing the reactions.

Photos on the Facebook page, posted by parents, show red sores and blisters on their children, allegedly caused by the diapers.

However, P&G’s Pampers contends that the diapers are safe. “The testing that we've conducted before the diapers were sold and the monitoring of complaints since it has been on the market do not show any evidence that Dry Max causes more diaper rashes than the product it replaced."

Pampers is available to answer any questions. They ask consumers to call 1-800-PAMPERS (726-7377). Hours of operation are Monday through Friday, 9am to 6pm EST.

The CPSC is now investigating the claims of the diapers.
