Milestones & Recognition: EnerNOC Customer Wins Demand Response Award
May 5, 2010 (FinancialWire) — EnerNOC, Inc. (NASDAQ: ENOC) said Idaho Power, an EnerNOC utility customer, was honored with a 2009 Demand Response Award by the Peak Load Management Alliance.
EnerNOC nominated Idaho Power's FlexPeak Management, an EnerNOC-powered demand response program for large commercial and industrial facilities. EnerNOC has helped Idaho Power manage the FlexPeak Management program since March 2009, including program marketing, customer recruitment, site enablement, and demand response event management.
Idaho Power serves one million customers in a large service area that includes southern Idaho and eastern Oregon. With a peak demand of 3,200 megawatts, high seasonal peaks, and consistent demand growth over the last decade, Idaho Power turned to EnerNOC demand response to address an ongoing critical challenge, specifically meeting the ever-increasing needs of its customers while delaying the need to build new power plants.
PLMA's Demand Response Annual Awards recognize the most innovative and creative load reduction programs. Awards were based on criteria including customer satisfaction, program management, cost-effectiveness, and long-term viability. Recipients of Demand Response Awards were honored April 29 in Santa Monica, CA.
EnerNOC unlocks the full value of energy management for utility and commercial, institutional, and industrial customers by reducing real-time demand for electricity, increasing energy efficiency, improving energy supply transparency in competitive markets, and mitigating emissions.
