March 17, 2010 (FinancialWire) — Swedish home furnishings retailer IKEA said it has awarded its integrated communications account to WPP Group’s (NASDAQ: WPPGY) Ogilvy & Mather unit and *S,C,P,F, Ogilvy & Mather’s Hispanic agency partner.

The other finalists were Berlin Cameron United, Euro RSCG and The Kaplan Thaler Group. All of the agencies are located in New York. Pile and Co., a Boston-based management consulting firm, managed the review process.

IKEA has more than 300 IKEA stores in 38 countries, including 37 in the U.S.
