Michael Jackson's New Record Deal: $250 Million
March 16, 2010 /EIN PRESSWIRE/ Music industry in crisis? It's not as far as the late Michael Jackson is concerned. The estate of the late singer and Sony have reportedly agreed to a $250 million deal to release 10 more albums from the King of Pop.
Both sides are calling the agreement, which guarantees Jackson's estate $200 million, the most lucrative recording contract ever. Sony will release 10 albums over the next seven years that will mix both Jackson's greatest hits and unreleased songs.
Since Jackson's death, Sony has sold an estimated 31 million of Jackson's albums.
