Prior to joining Bovie, Keen has worked as an attorney, business executive, entrepreneur and technologist. He served as a partner with Kaplan, Ward & Patel, an associate with Allen Dyer Doppelt Milbrath & Gilchrist and a solo practitioner where he specialized in intellectual property and business law.

He also served as vice president of Legal and Strategic Affairs at Kinetics, Inc., an NCR Subsidiary, and as chief information officer at Payroll Transfers, Inc.
