Oklahoma aviation accident attorneys alert- The NTSB is investigating a fatal plane crash in Bristow. Creek County, OK— A small plane crash in Bristow on Sunday afternoon, February 28, 2010, killed two people. The plane was apparently trying to land at the Jones Memorial Airport, when the plane appeared to be experiencing engine trouble around 2:24 p.m., as reported by Tulsa World. The Oklahoma Highway Patrol (OHP) reported that witnesses stated that the four-seater plane sounded as if it was experiencing engine trouble before it crashed just west of the Jones Memorial Airport. The small plane reportedly appeared to have attempted to land at the airport, but then aborted the landing, make a sharp left turn where it hit overhead power lines and crashed. Two people were killed in the crash; their identities have not yet been released. Authorities haven’t determined the type of plane, where it took off from or where it was headed at this time. Only the plane’s tail section was in one piece following the fatal wreck. Federal investigators with the National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) http://www.ntsb.gov/ are conducting a full investigation into the plane crash. Weather did not appear to be a factor.
