Ness Technologies Wins $11 Million Israeli Government Outsourcing Contract

February 9, 2010 (FinancialWire) — Ness Technologies, Inc. (NASDAQ: NSTC), an Israeli provider of IT services, said that it has been awarded a five-year, 42 million Israeli shekel (roughly $11.2 million) outsourcing contract from Israel’s Ministry of Immigrant Absorption.

According to Ness, the contract includes an option to extend the contract for up to additional five years. Ness won the contract in a public tender published by the Ministry.

Under the deal, Ness Technologies will operate and maintain the ministry’s IT systems 24/7, including applications, infrastructure systems, communications, and workstations. In addition, Ness will deploy network and system management solutions, upgrade the ministry’s helpdesk, and continuously improve the service level according to a Service Level Agreement.

The ministry’s Information Systems Division is responsible for ongoing development and operation of advanced ICT systems for immigrant absorption, including registration of immigrants, management of assistance resources such as public housing, financial assistance, customs tax grants, etc.; providing hardware and software resources to support absorption processes near immigrant residences; and producing a range of information and reports for the ministry’s various management levels and external organizations that handle immigrant absorption.

The ministry’s Information Systems Division supports 600 users at 40 sites nationwide, and operates two IT facilities – one in Jerusalem and another at Ben-Gurion International Airport.
