February 3, 2010 (FinancialWire) — RELM Wireless Corp. (AMEX: RWC) said it has received an order totaling around $6.6 million from the U. S. Department of Agriculture Forest Service.

The order is comprised of RELM’s long-time flagship D-Series digital P-25 portable and mobile radios. It is scheduled to be fulfilled during the first quarter of 2010.

For around two decades the USFS has used the company’s BK Radio products in wildfire suppression efforts, and currently has around 57,000 RELM radios in service, according to RELM.
