Urine Odor May Help Identify Lung Cancer

January 28, 2010 /EIN PRESSWIRE/ Researchers at the Monell Center have released a study that says the odor of urine may contain clues for detecting lung cancer.

According to Monell biologist Gary Beauchamp, cancer tumors have an effect on body odors, and chemical tests can detect those odors emitted from urine. With this odor testing, he says, the potential exists to improve early diagnosis of lung cancer, as well as improve treatment.
