January 26, 2010 (FinancialWire) — – Concordis Group, Inc. (OTC: CNGI), a financial holding company, has hired Edward Valaitis as its chief operating officer. Valaitis has also been elected to the company’s board of directors.

In this new position, Valaitis will be responsible for many aspects of the day to day management of the company, which includes oversight of the operating companies, business development, human resources, acquisition support, strategic planning and marketing. He will work with CEO Trent Sommerville and the board of directors.

Valaitis’ corporate experience includes stints as Managing director for Resource Global a company spun off from Deloitte & Touche and partner at Amper, Politziner and Mattia, a CPA firm with practice responsibility over the risk consulting, Sarbanes Oxley, SAS, 70 and Information Security Services.

He was Co-Founder of BDO Seidman’s Risk Consulting Division and Managing director of the Financial Services Practice of Root Learning Inc., a consulting firm.

Prior to the above positions Valaitis held commercial banking positions with Deutsche Bank for a decade.
