Invesco Mortgage Raises $171 Million In Common Share Offering
January 19, 2010 (FinancialWire) — Invesco Mortgage Capital Inc. (NYSE: IVR) has completed a public offering of seven million shares of common stock and issuance of an additional 1,050,000 shares of common stock pursuant to the underwriters’ full exercise of their over-allotment option. The total offering of 8.05 million shares produced gross proceeds of approximately $171 million.
Credit Suisse Securities (NYSE; CS) and Morgan Stanley & Co. (NYSE: MS) acted as joint book-running managers.
Invesco plans to use the net proceeds from this offering to make acquisitions of residential and commercial mortgage-backed securities and mortgage loans, on a leveraged basis, and to invest in a public-private investment fund managed by Atlanta-based Invesco Mortgage Capital is a real estate investment trust that focuses on financing and managing residential and commercial mortgage-backed securities and mortgage loans.
