Los Angeles-based United Memorial Products reported sales of approximately $11 million in calendar 2008.

Terms of the acquisition were not immediately disclosed.

Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania-based Matthews International is a designer, manufacturer and marketer principally of memorialization products and brand solutions.
