EnerSys Seeks CFO
November 25, 2009 (FinancialWire) — Battery maker EnerSys (NYSE: ENS) said that Michael T. Philion, the company’s executive vice president of finance and chief financial officer, has retiree from EnerSys effective November 23. Michael J. Schmidtlein, EnerSys’ vice president and corporate controller, will serve as chief financial officer on an interim basis while an internal and external search is conducted.
Schmidtlein joined EnerSys in 1995 and has served as the company’s chief accounting officer since 2005.
Reading, Pennsylvania-based EnerSys offers stored energy solutions for industrial applications. The company manufactures and distributes reserve power and motive power batteries, chargers, power equipment, and battery accessories to customers worldwide.
