Spectrum Control To Buy Micro Networks

November 24, 2009 (FinancialWire) — Spectrum Control, Inc. (NASDAQ: SPEC), a designer and manufacturer of custom electronic products and systems, has signed a definitive agreement to acquire substantially all of the assets and assume certain liabilities of Micro Networks Corp., a subsidiary of Integrated Device Technology, Inc. (NASDAQ: IDTI).

Micro Networks, which has operations in Worcester, Massachusetts and Auburn, New York, designs and manufactures data conversion products, custom modules, and a line of filters, oscillators, and delay lines based on surface acoustic wave technology.

The transaction is scheduled to close by the end of November. Spectrum said it expects the total purchase price to be around $13 million.
