Waste Management Prices $600 Million Of Senior Notes
November 13, 2009 (FinancialWire) — Waste Management, Inc. (NYSE: WM) has priced a public offering of $600 million of 6.125% senior notes due November 30, 2039. BNP Paribas Securities, J.P. Morgan Securities (NYSE: JPM), Scotia Capital and Wells Fargo Securities (NYSE: WFC) acted as joint book-running and joint lead managers
The notes will be fully and unconditionally guaranteed by the company’s Waste Management Holdings subsidiary.
Waste Management plans to use a portion of the net proceeds to fund certain equity investments and acquisitions and all remaining proceeds will be used for general corporate purposes, including additions to working capital, capital expenditures and the funding of other potential acquisitions and investments in businesses.
Houston-based Waste Management is a provider of waste management services in North America. Through its subsidiaries, the company provides collection, transfer, recycling and resource recovery, and disposal services.
The company is also a developer, operator and owner of waste-to-energy and landfill gas-to-energy facilities in the United States. The company’s customers include residential, commercial, industrial, and municipal customers throughout North America.
