Brondeau Named CEO Of FMC
November 9, 2009 (FinancialWire) — Chemical maker FMC Corp. (NYSE: FMC) has named Pierre as its Brondeau president and chief executive officer, effective January 1, 2010. He succeeds William G. Walter in the role. Brondeau has also been elected to the company’s board.
Walter will continue as the FMC’s chairman until his normal retirement date of October 1, 2010.
Brondeau retired from Dow Chemical in September, where he served as president and CEO of Dow Advanced Materials. Prior to joining Dow, Brondeau was president and chief operating officer of Rohm and Haas, which was acquired by Dow Chemical earlier this year.
Philadelphia-based FMC is a chemical company serving agricultural, industrial and consumer markets globally. The company employs around 5,000 people.
