Norton Named Human Resources Chief Of People’s United Bank

Norton will be a member of the bank’s management committee and report directly to president and CEO Philip R. Sherringham.

Norton joins People’s United from The New York Times (NYSE: NYT), where he served as senior vice president of human resources. Prior to this, Norton was charged with enterprise-wide human resources responsibilities at Starwood Hotels and Resorts (NYSE: HOT) and, earlier, at PepsiCo’s (NYSE: PEP) Frito Lay North America division.
