Media Release for the Prize Giving Photo Opportunity for the 2022 National Child Policy Social Media Competition
TRINIDAD AND TOBAGO, March 25 - 24th March, 2022
Port-of-Spain: The Child Affairs Division hosted a Prize Giving Photo Opportunity for the participants and winners of the National Child Policy (NCP) Social Media Competition at its St. Clair and Central Administrative Services Tobago offices.
The NCP Competition focused on the six (6) outcomes of the Policy, which highlight that children are to be loved, empowered, protected, valued, nurtured and supported... Winners were awarded scholarship funding and grocery vouchers valued at twenty-two thousand dollars ($22,000.00).
Present to distribute the awards and prizes in Tobago was the Honourable Ayanna Webster-Roy, Minister with responsibility for Gender and Child Affairs with Mrs. Meloney Hunte, Manager, ViewPort Supermarket and in Trinidad Ms. Jacinta Bailey-Sobers, Permanent Secretary, Gender and Child Affairs; Mr. Bertrand Moses, Coordinator, Child Affairs Division; Ms. Joann Solomon, Branch Sales Manager, Republic Bank Limited; Mr. Neil Phillips, Brand Development Officer, Unit Trust Corporation and Ms. Rosanne Dede Sombo, Assistant Vice President, HR and Operations, Massy Ltd. and technical officers from the Division.
To date, one hundred thousand (100,000) copies of the NCP (which is the first of its kind in the Eastern Caribbean) were distributed across schools and libraries.
